Mr. Pimento Catering & Dining

Mr. Pimento is officially my new go-to spot for Jamaican food in North Austin. Chef Clay provided exceptionally kind and thoughtful service, making the experience even better. The Hibiscus Cucumber Smash was refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. The food was authentic Jamaican cuisine with a fresh, healthy twist - EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS! I would’ve included a photo of my Half and Half Bowl, but it was devoured too quickly! I’ll definitely be back.

Don't be like me. I've lived here for almost a year now and this was my first time grabbing Mr. pimento. I'm so mad at myself for not coming sooner!!!! The food was amazing, quick, and Clay was an absolute pleasure to interact with. I cannot recommend this truck enough! There are a lot of good places in this food park, but this is definitely one of the best.

Mr. Pimento’s Jamaican Food Truck at the Pink Flamingo Food Truck, next to The Water Tank off McNeil, is delicious! Shout out to Clay, Mike, and Sean for the excellent hospitality and making us feel like part of the family. The bowls are excellent, and it is tough to choose my favorite. I’d maybe suggest the half and half to get rice and mac ‘n cheese. I’m a sucker for sweet plantains and these are so tasty. Get an empanada too, your taste buds will thank me. Also, you need to get their hibiscus drink. The food isn’t spicy too accommodate everyone but there are ways to make it spicy with their sauces. Thanks for a great lunch!!

I got the half and half bowl and it was delicious! I enjoyed the mac and cheese more than the rice and the variety of textures in the bowl. I also enjoyed the “extra fiyah” sauce that was spicy but hits differently from habanero based sauces. On top of the good food, had great service from the owner, he took the time to hear my feedback about the food and even gave me complimentary hibiscus tea! You can really tell he’s passionate about his food and the vision he has.

Came here on a whim to eat with my brother, drove by here a few times and it always caught my attention. Finally got some and this place has amazing food and outstanding customer service. The owner is incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, which makes the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is super chill, and the food speaks for itself. It was my first time trying this style of food, and I’m officially obsessed. I’ll definitely be back.

Mr. Pimento is hands down the best Jamaican food in Austin! The food is absolutely amazing, full of flavor, unique, and also very healthy. Every order comes out fresh and delicious. The customer service is top-notch—the staff is extremely friendly and makes you feel welcome every time. If you’re looking for authentic Jamaican food with excellent service, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

Ordered takeout from here and loved it! Got the half-half bowl, the sweet plantains, and the smoked curry rice bowl. Everything was so good, fresh, and flavorful. Clay was also super nice and friendly. Will definitely be coming back!

Shout-out to Chef Clay for this amazingly delicious food. The flavor per bite ratio is INSANE! You can tell that care, love, and pure intentions went into the crafting of these meals. Delicious AND healthy!!! I got the Jerk Chicken Rice Bowl and my Wife got the Jerk Chicken Mac Bowl (not pictured). She only agreed to share one bite with me You can see what the results of my bowl were. I had to tap out near the end because it was so much food We're definitely going to have this be one of our regular dining options. We're excited to try to oxtails on Sunday, and we're going to be sure to pre-order ahead of time!
